Congressman Andy Kim Visits Ms. Allison Johnson's AP Government and Politics class at LHS

On Monday, November 27, Representative Andy Kim engaged in a meaningful discussion with a Lawrence High School politics class. A congressman representing the Third Congressional District of New Jersey, which includes Mercer County, and a graduate of the New Jersey public school system, Rep. Andy Kim brought a unique perspective to the conversation.

In his compelling address to the class, Rep. Andy Kim highlighted the significance of active participation in democracy, underscoring that apathy stands in opposition to the principles on which our nation is based. Challenging the seniors, students in Mrs. Allison Johnson’s AP Government and Politics class, he posed the question, "What will you do to make a difference?"

Beyond the realms of politics, Rep. Andy Kim emphasized that making a difference goes hand in hand with being of service to others. He encouraged the students to explore various avenues where their contributions could positively impact society, emphasizing that service extends beyond the political arena.
