Lawrence Township Public Schools proudly announces that Superintendent of Schools Robyn A. Klim has successfully earned her Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from the American College of Education. Dr. Klim's achievement reflects her commitment to continuous learning and her dedication to staying at the forefront of curriculum and instruction to best serve our district.

Dr. Klim, who is in her 12th year as a school administrator with over a decade of central office level experience, has consistently demonstrated her passion for education and her drive to enhance the learning experience for students. Dr. Klim earned her Bachelors in Social Work from Rutgers University and her Master's degree from Fordham University. Klim's roots started in mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, which continues to deeply influence her educational philosophy, emphasizing the importance of social-emotional support, mental health, and overall well-being for students.

Dr. Klim's doctoral thesis, entitled Strategic Curricular Design: ​A Qualitative Case Study of the Curriculum and Instruction Changes Necessary to Improve Student Performance in Middle School, sheds light on innovative approaches to curriculum development and instructional strategies, and is already positively impacting Lawrence schools.

Dr. Klim’s hard work and three-year commitment to further her education is a testament to what we strive to instill in our students. “Education is something that can never be taken away from you,” remarked Klim.  Lawrence Township Public Schools congratulates Superintendent Klim on her remarkable achievement and is excited about the positive impact her continued dedication to education will have on the district. 

“I learned so much from my colleagues in the program and their invaluable perspectives on the growing trends and innovation in education,” said Klim. Her network of colleagues from all over the country is vast, as the program further broadened her “village” of support and resources.

“Earning a terminal degree while taking the seat as Superintendent of schools this fall has been incredibly surreal,” said Klim. “This accomplishment is not just my own, but a reflection of the dedication and hard work of many.” Her family is looking forward to more time with “Mom,” as a result of this recent chapter closure.
