National School Lunch and School Breakfast Child Nutrition Program
The Lawrence Township Public School district participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Child Nutrition Program.
We encourage ALL families to complete a Free and Reduced-Price School Meals application, as the income parameters for the 2022-2023 school year have changed. The amended procedures should include more families on eligibility lists, which determine P-EBT benefits, state funding, and funding for various academic programs for the district as a whole.
Students who may be eligible must apply at least a week before school begins so that we can process their application.
Students who 1) physically applied last year and 2) were approved, will retain their free or reduced status until September 30th, after which they will lose their status unless they apply and are approved again for the year.
All lunches/breakfasts for those eligible for reduced meals are FREE this year. Parents will receive a PEBT card if their student had a free/reduced meal status for the 21-22 school year. This is a one-time benefit in the amount of $391 per eligible student. Money should be on the family first card by the end of September.
Log into the Genesis Parent Portal https://parents.ltps.org/ to see if you qualify. Paper applications can also be obtained from your child's school’s main office or at the Board of Education office.
