LHS English Teacher to Present at NJDOE Equity Conference

Douglas Lehnert, a 9th-10th grade teacher at Lawrence High School (LHS), has also accepted an invitation to present at the Third Annual New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Statewide Equity Conference: Critical Conversations for a More Equitable Future on August 3.  His session, “Single-Point Rubric Use for More Equitable Teaching, Assessment, and Student Growth” will offer suggestions for auditing existing rubrics and formative assessment methods for implicit biases or scaffolding that may hinder student growth, and redesigning and streamlining rubrics to target learning outcomes more equitably for all students. Congratulations!
