Lawrence Middle School (LMS) student Ethan Wang (grade 8) scored 23 out of 25 on his Math Olympiad Contests this year. Not only was this the highest score at LMS, Ethan's score will earn a gold pin for scoring in the top 2% of all participants in the nation! Askhay Iyer (grade 7) came in second place and will earn a silver pin for scoring in the top 10% in the nation.
Ethan Wang also scored in the top 1% nationally in MathCON 2019! He was invited to Nationals in Chicago but, due to a conflict, he could not attend. Bryce Bandin (grade 7), Akshay Iyer, and Rohan Tadisetty (grade 8) were placed on the waitlist for scoring in the top 3% in the nation. Rohan was chosen from the waitlist to represent LMS in Chicago.
