As Superintendent Kasun mentioned at the July 22nd special board of education meeting, the date for school to start for students in September is changing from September 3rd to September 8th, the day after Labor Day.
The first day for staff to return remains the same on September 1st. Two professional development (PD) days were already planned for staff for September 1st and 2nd. In the planned, revised calendar, the October 12th and November 4th PD days will be moved to September 3rd and 4th. Thus, September 1 – 4 will be four PD days for staff.
October 12th and November 4th will be regular school days for staff and students.
