LHS Students' Exhibit to be featured in Smithsonian Virtual Showcase

Congratulations to Lawrence High School (LHS) students Miduna Rishindran and Akshaya Shivaparan! Their 2021 National History Day (NHD) exhibit was selected to represent New Jersey in a virtual showcase presented by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History via the Smithsonian Learning Lab!

The exhibit, Jacob Riis: The Key to Understanding "How the Other Half Lives," will premiere with other selected NHD student exhibits on Tuesday, June 15, at 9AM at https://learninglab.si.edu/profile/nationalhistoryday. The virtual showcase will run from June 15-29. Read more in this press release.

The LHS NHD club has seven members who qualified to compete in the national level of the NHD competition being held virtually June 13-19. The winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on June 19. Priscilla Taylor is the LTPS NHD club mentor.
