COVID-19 Information
  • 1. Cleaning & disinfecting

“Cleaning removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces or objects. Cleaning works by using soap (or detergent) and water to physically remove germs from surfaces.” CDC

We use a low toxicity cleaning program that removes dirt and organics without leaving residue.

“Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces or objects. Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces or objects.” CDC

We use a hospital grade disinfectant (Peroxy HDox) that is EPA registered to kill Influenza, MRSA, Norovirus, and other germs without using toxic chemicals.  This product also kills the coronavirus.

Listed below are some of the procedures we follow when cleaning a room:

    • Remove debris from floors
    • Pre-clean any gross soils found on surfaces
    • Liberally apply disinfecting dilution of Peroxy HDOX to all touch points and contaminated surfaces (desktops, door knobs, and other touch points are disinfected daily). THE WE USE DOES KILL THE CORONA VIRUS.
    • While allowing disinfectant to dwell on surfaces check stock of paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soaps & sanitizers
    • Clean other surfaces such as mirrors, glass, etc.
    • After dwell time of 10 minutes, wipe off surfaces that have been disinfected
    • Mop floors WITH DISINFECTANT CLEANER.

Listed below are some of the procedures we follow when cleaning a bus: Cleaning is done each day. Spot cleaning is performed between runs during the same day.

    • Remove debris from floors
    • Pre-clean any gross soils found on surfaces
    • Liberally apply disinfecting dilution of Peroxy HDOX to all touch points and contaminated surfaces (hand hold, seats, seat belts, car seats, interior bus walls, windows and other touch points are disinfected daily). WHAT WE USE DOES KILL THE CORONA VIRUS.
    • We allow disinfectant to dwell on surfaces until dry.
    • Clean other surfaces such as mirrors, glass, etc.

    2. Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that are touched often

In the buildings, we clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that are touched often, such as desks, countertops, doorknobs, faucet handles, and phones using a hospital grade disinfectant solution. Spray bottles with Peroxy HDox have and can be issued to classrooms upon request, for the purpose of disinfection for and by the teachers.

On buses, we clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that are touched often, such as hand holds, seats, and interior walls using a hospital grade disinfectant solution. Spray bottles with Peroxy HDox have been issued to bus drivers and bus aides, for the purpose of disinfection for and by the transportation staff.

    3.  Special circumstance pathogen cleaning

The EPA has a program called Emerging Pathogen Compliance Program which enables them to recommend disinfecting guidelines for new pathogens.  We will maintain a supply of broad spectrum, hospital grade, emerging pathogen compliant disinfectant that has rapid kill times (30 second Norovirus kill) for use in the event of an outbreak from a new pathogen like COVID 19.   Our existing, daily use, product already kills the coronavirus.
