As members of the Lawrence Township community, we are united by a common goal: ensuring a bright future for all who call this town home. At the heart of that future are our schools. On March 11, you have an opportunity to make a lasting difference by voting on a referendum that directly impacts our children, our neighborhoods, and our shared values.
Strong schools build strong communities. Research consistently shows that excellent school districts increase property values, making them a sound investment for all residents, not just those with children in the schools. A community’s value is intrinsically tied to the strength of its schools, which attract families, foster economic growth, especially in a town’s small businesses, and create a shared sense of pride. By supporting this referendum, we are not only investing in our children’s future but also in the overall prosperity and vibrancy of Lawrence Township as a place to live.
Lawrence Township Public Schools is preparing for a significant referendum that will impact the future of our district. One critical aspect of this referendum is the opportunity to maximize state aid, a valuable source of funding that directly supports our schools. But what exactly is state aid, and why is passing the referendum so important?
Lawrence Township Public Schools recently conducted a comprehensive community survey to gather input on the upcoming bond referendum. The survey received a robust response, with 684 participants sharing their perspectives on various district needs and priorities.
At Lawrence Township Public Schools, we are constantly seeking ways to enhance the learning experience for our students, ensuring they have the best possible opportunities to learn, grow and succeed in the classroom and beyond. I am thrilled to share with you an exciting initiative that will revolutionize the way we approach education in Lawrence Township Public Schools – the evidence-based strategic restructuring of our grade level distributions to better align with the cognitive and social-emotional development of students. This journey has been guided by two pivotal factors.
As your family grows, you need more space! You may move, add on to your house, or move your kids to a more age-appropriate bedroom to make space for your growing family.
As a district, we are essentially renovating and adding on to our “house” so we can give our kids, the students of Lawrence Township, the most appropriate learning environment to ensure their academic and developmental success.
