LTPS Celebrates Earth Day 2025

Lawrence Township Public Schools honored our planet this Earth Day with a variety of fun and meaningful activities across the district! Students and staff participated in Earth Day-themed spirit days that encouraged everyone to dress in earthy attire, show their love for nature, and make eco-friendly choices.

Classrooms buzzed with earth-themed activities, from planting seeds and crafting with recycled materials to learning about the environment through hands-on science and art. Many teachers took advantage of the spring sunshine by bringing story time outdoors, allowing students to enjoy books under the open sky.

Slackwood kindergartners even had the chance to visit a local farm, where they saw sustainability in action and got up close with nature. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of caring for the Earth—not just on Earth Day, but every day.
