Lawrence Township Education Foundation continues to support LTPS with $39,765.00 in Educator Grants

The Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) is pleased to announce
it has awarded $39,765.00 in support of 27 innovative programs throughout the Lawrence
Township Public Schools for its Spring 2026 grant cycle.


From new books to flexible seating to technology equipment, the LTEF is committed to
supporting excellence in education. On the elementary school level, multiple grants were
provided. Ben Franklin School will benefit from new books and outdoor playground equipment.
Lawrence Elementary School will benefit from new books and an afro-brazilian music assembly. 
Slackwood Elementary will benefit from the funding to expand a previous LTEF grant, an
innovative gardening program called Slackwood SHINES. Eldridge Park School will benefit from
new playground equipment and new books.


At Lawrence Intermediate School, students will benefit from 8 different grants. There will be
flexible seating, supplies for the previously funded Makercart, handheld microscopes, scooters,
STEM challenge kits and laser display technology for various classrooms. Lawrence Middle
School students will benefit from funding for the TV studio equipment upgrades and safe
cutting tools for the Art room. Lawrence High School students will benefit from a variety of
grants this cycle. There will be funding for a poster size printer for DECA students, new lighting
for the auditorium for the theater students and impaired driving simulation goggles for the
driving program.


Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) raises funds from individuals, local businesses,
corporations, and foundations for programs that foster excellence, creativity, and achievement
in education for all students in Lawrence Township Public Schools. Through grant requests from
teachers and school administrators, LTEF funds programs that will have a substantial and lasting
impact on Lawrence Township public school students. As a result of these grants, our Lawrence
Township public school students have had the opportunity to take part in innovative classroom
projects, use new technology, and have access to state-of-the-art equipment. Since 1992, it has
funded more than 1,140 programs in the Lawrence schools with grants exceeding $4.6 million.
