Who Do I Contact? (Chain of Command)

Lawrence Township Public Schools Chain of Command

At Lawrence Township Public Schools, we deeply value the partnership between families and schools. We are committed to making sure your voice is heard and your concerns are addressed with care, respect, and efficiency. To ensure questions are answered quickly and by the people closest to the issue, we encourage families to begin their inquiries at the school level whenever possible.

What is a "Chain of Command?"
At LTPS, the Chain of Communication refers to the step-by-step process for resolving questions and concerns by starting with the individual most directly involved, typically your child’s teacher or school staff member. This approach allows for the fastest and most informed response, while also fostering direct, supportive relationships between families and staff. Our schools are built on collaboration and trust. Beginning at the source allows us to respond more effectively and ensures that all members of our school community feel heard and supported.

Why Not Start With the Board of Education?
The Board of Education plays a vital role in overseeing the district but does not get involved in daily operations or individual concerns unless all other levels of communication have been followed. This ensures the Board can remain impartial should an issue need to be reviewed at that level.

By following the Chain of Command for communication, you help us maintain fairness and integrity in resolving concerns and you help us support your child more effectively.

Please use the Chain of Command guide below to direct your concern to the appropriate contact. If you’re unsure where to begin, always start with your child’s school. You can visit our website at www.ltps.org for school contact information and resources. For general inquiries, please email us at info@ltps.org. Together, we can ensure every student and family in LTPS feels connected, valued, and supported.
