Mrs. Musto's Kindergarten Class
Hello and welcome to Mrs. Musto's Kindergarten site. Kindergarten will be a fun year filled with the joy of learning lots of new things and making many new friends. I am looking forward to the new school year as much as you are!
Here is some important information for you:
If you need to contact me, the best way is by e-mail. My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I will answer you as soon as I can.
Here are things your child will need for school:
1. Backpack (large enough for a folder and lunchbox)
3. Complete change of clothing including underwear & socks to be left at school for emergencies. Clothes should be in a clear zip lock bag with your child's complete name written on it in black permanent marker.
4. One folder with bottom pockets. Write your child's complete name on front in black permanent marker.
5. Box of tissues
6. Daily snack (such as a small snack size bag of cut up fruit or veggies, pretzels, goldfish or animal crackers). Snack should not need to be refrigerated or heated. Do not send drinks or candy or snacks that need to be eaten with a spoon such as pudding or yogurt. Your child should know what their snack is so it is not confused with their lunch. I suggest putting their snack in a separate part of their backpack and not in their lunchbox. Please be sure your child can open the snack bag without help.
Toys, trading cards or stickers should not be brought to school by your child at any time. Please do not allow your child to wear jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets or rings to school. I will supply pencils, crayons, markers and toolboxes. Please do not send these items to school.
We are always in need of and welcome donations of items such as paper towels, disinfecting wipes, boxes of tissues and holiday paper products such as cups, plates & napkins. I will have more specific donation requests throughout the school year.
Please teach your child as soon as possible to tie his/her own shoes, snap, button and zipper his/her coat, and proper use of the bathroom. Please do not dress your child in clothing that he/she cannot zip, snap or button himself/herself when using the bathroom. Elastic waistbands are suggested.
Thanks for your help.
