    Biography

    Ms. Linda Mithaug is the Director of Student Services at Lawrence Township Public Schools.  Prior to coming to Lawrence Township, Ms. Mithaug was the Director of Pupil Services for the Montclair Public School District, where she was responsible for supervising the special education programs, nurses and student assistance counselors. Ms. Mithaug earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, Administration and Supervision Certification from Montclair State University, and a Masters of Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University. This is Ms. Mithaug’s third position as Director of Student Services, having served previously in the roles of special education teacher, LDT-C child study team member and special education supervisor in Bloomfield Public Schools. Ms. Mithaug's background also includes administrative oversight and program development.

    In addition to providing support for staff members, Ms. Mithaug is deeply committed to developing strong partnerships between parents, community members and the school district in order to provide the best outcomes for students requiring special education services. She is passionate about developing a continuum of programs for students in their home district and works closely with central office and building administrators to align district resources.

  • Rebecca Guenther

    Biography

    Rebecca attended the University of Scranton where she earned her BS in both Psychology and Philosophy. She then obtained her Masters, certification as a school psychologist, and her supervisor certification at NJCU. For the last 7 years, Rebecca has worked as a school psychologist at Lawrence Middle School. She has greatly enjoyed working as a member of the child study team at LMS. Prior to this she worked in Sussex-Wantage and Washington as a school psychologist within elementary schools.

    Nicole Sasse

    Biography

    Nicole's passion for working with special education students began with her first position as a self-contained elementary teacher. From there, she moved onto High School, working with students on the Autism Spectrum, focusing on vocational, and life skills programming. Prior to joining the Lawrence team, Nicole worked as a Supervisor of Special Services for the Tinton Falls School District. Nicole attended West Chester University, dual majoring in Elementary and Special Education. She also attended Rutgers University where she earned her Masters in Special Education. Thereafter, she earned her Principal and Supervisors certifications from Montclair State University. Nicole is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
