About the Superintendent
Dr. Robyn A. Klim holds a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from the American College of Education.
Her research, focused on educator needs and curriculum designed to support the social and emotional well-being of all students, is already positively impacting Lawrence schools.
Klim is in her 13th year as a school administrator with over a decade of central office level experience. Klim graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Social Work and holds a Master's degree from Fordham University.
Klim's roots started in mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
A mental health advocate, she has previously worked for DCP&P contracted programs as a Supervisor, and opened up the Middlesex CMO under Perform Care. Klim continues to maintain her clinical licensure.
As Klim transitioned to the educational system, she worked as a member of the Child Study Team at all levels, including out-of-district students. Her focus has always been on optimizing opportunities for students in their community. During her time at the middle school level, she served as an Anti-bullying Specialist and co-led Campaign Connect initiatives with her Mercer County colleagues while in East Windsor.
With a trauma informed lens, Klim ensures student voice and agency in all of her work. She has a keen awareness of the curricular demands on today's educators, and strives to support classrooms to ensure access and equity for all learners. Klim's administrative career began as a Supervisor of Child Study Teams and Related Services in Pemberton Township, NJ. She then transitioned to the Director of Pupil Personnel Services in Shamong, NJ. Prior to transitioning to LTPS as the Assistant Superintendent, she served the Freehold Township School District as the Director of Educational Services.
Klim is a founding member of the Monmouth County Schools Partnership for Wellness (MCSPW). She has served in many leadership positions at the county and state level during her tenure as a Director and Assistant Superintendent. Klim has presented at NJASA, NJSBA, NJ Statewide Equity Conference, MCSPW and Autism NJ alongside colleagues in the field on Establishing Therapy Dog Programs in Schools, Community Based Instruction, Family Engagement Through a Trauma Informed Lens and Unconscious Bias.
Klim is a proud Mercer County resident and is thrilled to continue to serve the LTPS community. She prides herself on partnerships and connections with her colleagues. The students as her primary stakeholders is her WHY.
