Ms. Adams

Meet Ms. Lisa Adams

Hello! I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, but in the meantime, here is a little information about me...

I had the pleasure and privilege of growing up in Lawrence Twp., and graduated from Lawrence High School in 2004.  I am married to a wonderful Lawrence Twp. police officer, who also grew up in the great town of Lawrence.  We currently reside in West Trenton and have a loving Rottweiler named Maggie, who keeps us on our toes. :)

As an undergraduate, I attended Monmouth University where I earned my BA in Elementary Education and English, with minors in psychology and gender studies. In college, I was very active and was a member of four honor societies and involved in several clubs and organizations.

In 2013, I graduated with my MSEd in Special Education also from Monmouth University.  As an educator, I value education and believe that we all should be life-long learners! :) I currently hold the following certifications: Elementary Education Teacher (K-5), Teacher of English, and Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Pre-K-12). I am also CPR and Epi-Pen certified.

I was awarded the 2015-16 NJ Governor's Educator of the Year for Eldridge Park School.  In the fall of 2016, I was awarded the State of NJ Exemplary Elementary Educator Award. Currently, I am a teacher liason working in partnership with Rider Univeristy and Raritan Valley Comminuty College to help my colleagues implement the Next Generation Science Standards.

In my free time, I love to travel to new places, read a good book, or spend the day at the beach.  I also enjoy yoga, hiking and spending time with my loved ones.  I am currently taking post-graduate courses at Rider University to help further my content and curriculum knowledge in science.

I began my career in Lawrence Twp. as a Special Education Assistant at Ben Franklin School in 2010. I then became a proud member of the EPS family. This is my seventh year teaching at EPS, and I could not have found a better home away from home! Prior to joining the first grade team, I taught kindergarten for six years.

I sincerely look forward to working with you and your child, and I know it will be a terrific school year.  :)

                                                                                                                             Warmly,

                                                                                                                  Ms. Lisa Adams, MSEd.
