What You Can Do Now to Help Your Child Excel:
-Read to your child daily. Have him/her read to you.
- Reading comprehension (basic story elements)
- Be able to recognize and write numbers 1-120.
- Talk to your child! Ask specific questions about his/her day. Open ended questions are essential.
(What was something that you learned today? What was a positive part of your day? What was a part of your day that you wish went differently? Who did you play with during recess?)
